
Massive Drone Swarm Attack by Pakistan Foiled by Indian Army Air Defense Forces
In a significant escalation along the India-Pakistan border, Indian Army air defense forces successfully neutralized a swarm drone attack attempt by Pakistan. The large-scale counter-drone operation was carried out across multiple strategic locations, with no casualties reported at any Indian military installation.
Indian Army’s Swift and Effective Counter-Drone Response
Latest news from India and Pakistan: Indian Army air defense forces in Pathankot and five other locations have neutralized more than fifty drones. Pakistan attempted unsuccessfully on Thursday to launch swarm drones at multiple locations along the International Borders (IB) and Line of Control (LoC).
To combat airborne threats, India made substantial use of L-70 guns, Zu-23mm, Schilka systems, and other cutting-edge counter-UAS technology. In a massive counter-drone operation, Indian Army air defense forces in Udhampur, Samba, Jammu, Akhnoor, Nagrota, and Pathankot successfully destroyed over 50 drones.
Advanced Air Defense Systems Deployed
Pakistan attempted unsuccessfully on Thursday to launch swarm drones at multiple locations along the International Borders (IB) and Line of Control (LoC). According to reports cited by news agency ANI, India heavily employed L-70 guns, Zu-23mm, Schilka systems, and other advanced counter-UAS technology to combat aerial threats.
The Integrated Defence Staff (IDS) Headquarters reports that there have been no casualties at the military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, or Udhampur. Pakistan used missiles and drones to strike the military installations in these areas, which are close to the international boundary in Jammu & Kashmir.
No Losses and Normalcy Restored in Pathankot
The IDS HQ stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) that the threat had been neutralized by #IndianArmedForces using both kinetic and non-kinetic methods in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SoP). In the meantime, Pathankot’s power has been restored following the blackout last night. The airbase is totally safe and no casualties have been reported thus far.
